Are you ready to gather and grow?

You’re probably here because a neighbour invited you to a planning party, and you want to know what it’s all about.

Read on!

Otherwise, you might have heard about Our Garden Party and be keen to get a cluster going so you can share the benefits and savings of growing vegetables as a regular, neighbourly activity. If that’s you, leave your details and we’ll hook you up when we can provide support on your street.

Yay – you're on the list!

How it all starts ...

1.

A neighbourly invitation

The neighbour who starts a cluster delivers invitations to come to an Our Garden Party planning party – date, time and which house is hosting the party. Anyone who’s curious about what it might be like to grow veggies in a cluster of neighbours can come along, with no obligation or pressure to get involved.

2.

The planning party

The planning party is really just a chat about what veggies, and how many, a group of neighbours want to grow and enjoy. It’s a chance to find out what’s involved in joining a cluster and whether it’s their cup of tea. If a cluster (minimum 3 households) wants to give it a go through Our Garden Party,  the first vegetable seedling subscription order will be submitted: the types of seedlings each household wants, and any extras needed for those who don’t have a suitable garden bed or tools.

3.

Your planting party

Our Garden Party will deliver the cluster’s collective order of vegetable seedlings, along with any add-ons purchased, on a day that works for the cluster. If there’s an experienced veggie grower in the cluster, who’s happy to take the lead, we’ll leave them all to it until the next delivery. But if a cluster wants help to get started, we’ll send an expert along to run a hands-on demo/workshop.

4.

Party on!

Each month we’ll deliver plants, both to replenish what everyone in a cluster has harvested, and to make sure everyone has the veggies they want to match their goals. If the supply feels like too much – or too little – anyone can change their subscription. And if the cluster is encountering issues with getting as many fresh, healthy veggies as they'd expected, we’ll help trouble-shoot and problem-solve.
